The Corre is a Heel professional wrestling stable that is currently competing in International Wrestling Entertainment on its Fusion brand.
The group had it's roots as The Nexus on Meltdown. Daniel Gonzalez, who was the leader of Nexus, was essentially exiled following a loss in a triple threat Steel Cage Match to determine the number one contender to the IWE Championship on January 3, 2011. New Nexus member Justin Eldridge had interfered by feigning to assist Gonzalez, but then ripping off Gonzalez's Nexus armband and kicking him off the cage as he was attempting to climb over the top and win the match. Eldridge then declared himself as the new leader of the group.
On the January 7 edition of Fusion, Gonzalez made his debut on the brand, attacking The Big Marc while Marc was wrestling in a fatal four way match to determine the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship.
The following week on Fusion, Gonzalez compared himself to Julius Caesar, saying he got so powerful on Raw, that everyone was conspiring against him, thus the reason for his exile from both Nexus and Meltdown. Gonzalez then explained he targeted Big Marc because he wanted to go after the biggest and the baddest, and that anything less wasn't worth his time.
During Gonzalez's match with Big Marc that evening, former Nexus members Devin Keller and Jeremiah Garcia, who had refused to participate in their initiation into Justin Eldridge's new version of the Nexus came from the back and attacked Marc, resulting in a disqualification.
The attack ceased once they saw a returning Russell Dalton standing on the apron. Dalton would then join in the attack and forged a new alliance with himself, Gonzalez, Keller and Garcia.
