TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs (2010) is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by International Wrestling Entertainment (IWE), which will take place on December 19, 2010 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. It will be the second annual TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs event.
TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs will feature professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that will be played out on International Wrestling Entertainment's (IWE) television programs. Wrestlers will portray villains or heroes as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate into a wrestling match or series of matches.
The main rivalry from Fusion involves the Champion Chris LeGreca against Chris Gomez for the World Heavyweight Championship. Last month, Gomez was named number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. In his quest to claiming the title, Gomez abducted LeGreca's father Paul Bearer and psychologically torment Bearer. At Survivor Series, Gomez failed to claim the championship after receiving a draw via double pinfall. With Gomez still in custody of Bearer, he continues to taunt LeGreca leading to a match on the December 3rd episode of Fusion. Gomez beat LeGreca and as a result, determined the stipulation to be a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match (a match type that Gomez pioneered in) for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The main rivalry from Meltdown involves the Champion Joe Smith against the former Champion Kevin McAlmond for the IWE Championship. After defending his title against Daniel Gonzalez on the November 22 episode of Meltdown, Joe Smith cashed in his Money in the Bank Contract to face McAlmond immediately after and defeated McAlmond for the championship. On the December 6 episode of Meltdown, McAlmond tried to use his rematch clause, but the Meltdown GM said that Joe Smith will defend the title at the event, with Smith setting the stipulation. After DQ'ing McAlmond's match with his apprentice, Brian Hosmer, Joe Smith decided that the stipulation for their match will be a Tables Match for his championship.
Another rivalry from Meltdown involves Dustin Simpson and Daniel Gonzalez in a Chairs match. Last month at Survivor Series,, former Nexus member Dustin Simpson lost his job after Kevin McAlmond defeated Daniel Gonzalez under the stipulation that if Gonzalez did not win the IWE Championship, Simpson would be fired for not following Daniel's orders. However, following his firing, Simpson would continue to attack Nexus knowing that since the Nexus attacked the security upon their debut, Simpson would be free to attack the Nexus without any restraints. This came to a head when on December 6, Dustin Simpson states that his attacks on the Nexus may stop, but the attacks on Gonzalez will not. This caused a mutiny within the Nexus. The following week, during the Slammy Awards, Gonzalez would rehire Simpson, who would have been kicked out by the other members of Nexus had he not, under the condition that Simpson would face Gonzalez in a Chairs match.
