SummerSlam (2007) was the twentieth annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by International Wrestling Entertainment (IWE). It took place on August 26, 2007 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey and featured talent from each of IWE's three brands: Meltdown, Fusion and XCW. Tickets for SummerSlam went on sale December 30 and sold out in forty minutes.

The main feud, a staged rivalry between wrestlers, heading into the event from the Meltdown brand was between Dustin Simpson and Kevin McAlmond. On the July 23 edition of Meltdown, Jonathon G. announced Kevin McAlmond as the number one contender to the IWE Championship. Theodore Long booked Hageman to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Jesse Dern at SummerSlam.

The primary feud from XCW was between Joe Linderman and Justin Eldridge. By defeating Linderman in a 15 Minutes of Fame match, Eldridge became the number one contender to the XCW Championship at SummerSlam.
