IWE Capitol Punishment is a forthcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view event that will be produced by International Wrestling Entertainment (IWE) on Sunday June 19, 2011 live at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Capitol Punishment will replace the Fatal 4-Way PPV event. Prior to that the event was known as The Bash and originally started out as The Great American Bash, which was the only former WCW pay-per view event to be used by the WWE after they took control of WCW.

Background[edit | edit source]

IWE Capitol Punishment will feature professtional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that will be played out on International Wrestling Entertainment (IWE) television programs. Wrestlers will portray villains or heroes as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

The concept of IWE Capitol Punishment is unknown and has not yet been announced. Several news sources believe the Pay Per View will be one of the few current IWE Pay Per Views not to have a special concept and will be a normal Professional Wrestling Pay Per View. If there is a concept to IWE Capitol Punishment it will not be announced until closer to the PPV.
