Armageddon (2000) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by International Wrestling Federation (IWF) that took place on December 10, 2000, at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. It was the second annual Armageddon event.

Eight professional wrestling matches were scheduled for the event. The main event was the first ever, and so far only, Hell in a Cell match to have six wrestlers, as IWF Champion Matt Borske defeated Steve Johnson, Triple K, Martin McAlmond, Kishi, and The Rock to retain the title. Four featured bouts were scheduled on the undercard. The first of these was a Triangle match where IWF Women's Champion Ivory defeated Bailey Dalton and Molly Murnion to retain the title. The next featured Kevin Hunter defeating IWF Intercontinental Champion Billy Morgan to win the title. The third was a Fatal Four-Way match between the teams of Edge and Khristian, Dudley Boyz (Harlan and Scott), Right to Censor (Joe Buchanan and Luke Godfather), and Road Dogg and K-Kwik. Edge and Khristian won the match and the IWF Tag Team Championship. The final match was a Last Man Standing match, where Kris McGowan defeated Chris LeGreca.

Aftermath[edit | edit source]

After retaining the IWF Championship against Stone Cold Steve Johnson on the next night on Meltdown, Grant Mayer announced that Matt Borske will defend his title against his son-in-law Triple K at the Royal Rumble. Triple K claimed that the only reason Matt is the champion is that he allowed him to. Matt disagreed on this. At the PPV Matt Borske defeated Triple K in a Singles Match for the IWF Championship.

Stone Cold Steve Johnson would go on to enter the Royal Rumble Match at the Royal Rumble PPV. On the way he fought long time rival The Rock who claimed to win the Royal Rumble for the second time in a row. At the PPV Steve Johnson won the match after eliminating Chris LeGreca. He would go to WrestleMania to defeat The Rock in a No Disqualifictaion Match to win the IWF Championship.
